I waited until they were used before I did my review. Initally, they were huge! Way too big. Then I washed them and yes, they did shrink. They now fit perfectly. And I have a deep mattress so don't be afraid of these. The sheets washed up beautifully and softened a bit. Being Egyptian cotton they will get softer as I wash them more. They are 'cotton soft'. .... no all smooth and shiny. So don't expect that. The pattern stayed true so it is not all twisted up. Good quality. Well worth the money. I will buy again when these wear out. Are my summer sheets as I don't use a comforter or blankets in summer and they give a great appearance on the bed, which was my main goal. Well that and sheets my hubby likes.
